Christmas Day

On Christmas day David and I got up and had Christmas that morning. It was so wonderful getting to experience his first Christmas. David loved being Santa, we videoed everything:) After we enjoyed our time with Charley we loaded up and went to Piedmont to David's grandparents house. All his family was there and they loved getting to see Charley because they do not get to see him often. We enjoyed getting to hang out with everyone and catch up on things. When we left there we came home and went up to the hospital to visit my grandmother. Mamaw has been very sick for that last three weeks. She has been in the hospital with pneumonia and gaul bladder problems. We have not had Christmas with my side of the family yet because Mamaw has been so sick. Please keep her and my family in your prayers.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we had David's mom, dad, brother and his girlfriend over for dinner and to exchange presents. It was fun getting to hang out with all of them. Charley got lots of neat toys that I am sure he is going to enjoy playing with very soon.

Look at me!!

Charley is making so many new and very cute faces. I keep the camera on the coffee table so it is available any time I need to snap a quick picture. We figure we take about 100 pictures a week, sometimes more. He will start out laughing and smiling and in an instant it turns into a cry or what we call him being mad. I'm afraid he already has a temper when he does not get what he wants or gets bored. My parents tell me that he has David and me trained :) How could you not just love this little face. Braxton our dog is really starting to warm up to Charley, they are going to be great friends one day!!

SANTA

We took Charley to see Santa tonight at the Bass Pro Shop. He did wonderful, of course he loves when someone is holding him so he didn't mind that it was a fat man in a red suite with a big white beard:) After we left the Bass Pro Shop we went out to eat at Habenaros (I think that is how you spell it.) This was David and my first trip out to eat with Charley. Charley did great he just sat in his car seat and looked at all the lights. When we got home David was playing with Charley and he laughed for the first time, it was the most wonderful sound ever! He is starting to become so much fun because he is smiling and now laughing. WOW I had no idea how great this would be. We can't wait to experience his first Christmas on Friday!

I put Charley's Santa outfit on and took a few pictures. These are some of the best ones. I am going to try and take more one afternoon when David can help me. He is the cutest Santa ever!

Yes....

he is sucking his thumb. It is cute, but it is a habit I hope does not continue. Each time we catch him doing it we pull his thumb out of his mouth and put in his passy. Sometimes we hear him and we think he is sucking his thumb, but he will have the whole side of his fist in his mouth-he is still learning how to get just the thumb in...

More Smiles

David and I now catch ourselves sitting around trying to get Charley to smile. He is so cute when he smiles and coos at us. It is amazing that at 10 weeks old he already knows how to get us wrapped around his finger. He is doing this thing when he tries to smile he just opens his mouth realy wide-he thinks he is being cute. I love this little man more and more each day!!

Christmas Party

Thursday night I went to a Christmas party with the lady's from work. It was really great to see everyone and to show off Charley :) Stephanie-the lady that I share my room with at school also just adopted a baby. Stephanie's baby is only 3 weeks old and he is already 10 lbs-he is sooo cute. I am so happy that she was able to adopt a baby-she is going to be a great mom. I know when we get back to work we are going to have a lot to talk about. Merry Christmas everyone!!

SMILE

Charley's first smile was captured on camera by Aunt Dana on Halloween when Uncle Casey was holding him. I have been trying so hard to get him to smile and the other day he started smiling at everything I do. It has been so much fun watching him grow and change. He is cooing and smiling now, I catch myself doing some pretty crazy things trying to get him to smile. He loves for his daddy to rub noses with him and then he gives a big smile. I have a feeling this little boy is going to have his daddy and mommy wrapped around his little finger.

Barnsie

Papaw bought Charley his first stuffed bear animal. His name is Barnsie and he is as big as Charley. Papaw drove around with Barnsie in his truck for several weeks until finally he gave it to Charley. I think it is neat that Papaw gave him this bear because I have a 'Big Bear' that my Pop gave me that I still have. I know that Charley will treasure this little stuffed animal forever. Thank you Papaw we LOVE you!!

Hall Christmas Party

Last Saturday we had Christmas with my dads side of the family. My cousin Krista had a baby 4 weeks after Charley was born so the house was filled with babies. It was nice seeing everyone and meeting Cooper the new baby.

2 Month Dr. Visit

Charley went for his 2 month check up on December 4 (yes he is already 2 months old, WOW) He weighs 11 lbs 4 oz (50th percentile) and is 22 inches long (50th percentile). He is growing so fast. David and I were talking the other day and he said, "you know one day we are going to miss hearing him cry when he needs us." There is already things that I miss from when he was younger. I can't believe how fast he is growing. I go back to work on January 4 and that is going to be a very hard day. I am already getting sad about leaving him. I am very thankful that he is growing and is on track for his age.
