Late Christmas

We were unable to celebrate Christmas on Christmas day because my grandmother was very sick. She is feeling much better and has been at home for 2 weeks. We celebrated Christmas with her and my family on January 16, 2010. We had lots of fun getting to hang out with everyone and open gifts. Charley is very lucky to have such a wonderful family. There has been some things happen with 3 children at my school that has really opened my eyes to the way I was raised and how blessed I am to have such a loving family. I know that no matter what happens my family will allways be there for me.

This little boy...

loves his Daddy!!! It amazes me that I can spend all day with Charley and when David gets home Charley starts looking around to find him. He laughs and smiles at David all the time and when Daivd is home he watches everything he does. I know when Charley grows up he is going to be his Daddies little shadow.

How sweet!!

David and I went to Springville to take Trouble (my horse) to a trainer so we dropped Charley off at Uncle Casey and Aunt Dana's house to spend some time with them and Conner. Conner was being very sweet giving Charley kisses and playing with him very gentle. Later that day we all went over to Mamaw and Papaw's house. We tried to get some pictures with the great grandparents and kids but they (the kids) did not want to cooperate very well.

It's Time....

to go back to work :( January 4, 2010 was my first day back at work since I had Charley on October 8, 2009. I took 12 weeks off to spend time with my little man. I think leaving him that first day was the hardest thing I have ever done. I cried for about a week before I went back and the day I went back I cried on the way, when I dropped him off and at work that day. I knew he was in good hands but it was still so hard knowing I was going to be away from him all day. I had not been away from him for more than a few hours since he was born so I knew it was going to be an adjustment being away from him during the work day. He did wonderful, he didn't cry the entire day and when I picked him up he came home and slept all evening and through the night. The next morning when I took him to the lady that is keeping him, he smiled and cooed at her like he was happy to see her. I have been at work for 2 weeks and it does not get any easier dropping him off in the mornings. I miss him soooooo much while I am at work but I know it is the best thing for him and for me.

Charley Laughing

This is the most wonderful sound I have ever heard. Thank God for the laughter of a child.
