Happy Birthday Conner

Charley and I went to Aunt Dana's house Friday to help her decorate for Conner's 1 year birthday party on Saturday. We had lots of fun!! Conner enjoyed playing with the decorations. We tried to get some pictures of the boys together but it was really hard. They both were fussy but we managed to get a few good pictures. It was so nice to hang out with Dana and Conner, it is something we haven't been able to do in a while. It is going to be soooo much fun watching these two grow up together. It is hard to believe that Conner is already a year old, how time flys. Happy Birthday Conner we love you!!

Red Dawg and Brittany came to meet Charley a few days after we came home from the hospital. Danny came by to meet Charley before heading to T-town for the Alabama game. Danny and Red are very good friends that we have known since we were little. We enjoyed seeing them and introducing them to Charley.

How sweet

After we went to the doctor and ran a few errands David and Charley were tired and napped on the couch for a little while. I couldn't resist getting out the camera and taking pictures.

One month check up

We went for Charley's one month check up on Friday. He is 9lbs 4oz and 20 inches long. Everything checked out well. We had to go to Children's Hospital on Monday to have an ultra sound done on his hips because he was breached. Everything looked good with his hips and we shouldn't have to go back for anymore test;)

Big Cuz, Lil Cuz

Jessica had these little cuz, big cuz shirts made for Charley (lil cuz), Ryleigh and Conner (Big Cuz). They were all very cute wearing them. Thank you Jessica for the shirt we loved it!!

My little Giraffe

This is the cutest little Giraffe ever. We went to Jeromy and Jessica's for Halloween. Ryleigh was a bumble bee and Conner was Big Al. They were all adorable. This was the first of many Halloween's they will have together. I can't wait til Charley gets old enough to trick or treat with Ryleigh and Conner. They are going to have so much fun growing up together. We had lots of fun and enjoyed watching the kids play around.

Happy Halloween

Charley had lots of outfits to wear for Halloween. This is his pumpkin shirt and baby's 1st Halloween outfit. I had to put navy blue pants on him because I couldn't find any black ones.

This is Charley and his monkey when he was two weeks old. I am going to take his pic with him once a month to see how much Charley grows.

First trip outside

This was Charley's first trip outside. The weather was so nice we just couldn't resist getting him outside. Daddy was working on the four wheeler and we sat and watched. We tried to introduce Charley to Freckles (his pony) but he didn't want to wake up. The horses didn't know what to think about him in his stroller, they just stared at him. I can't wait till he gets old enough to get out and pet the horses. I hope he likes them, but his daddy hopes he likes hunting and fishing instead. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

First bath in whale tub

Charley really liked the warm water at first and then he decided he had enough and wanted out. He really likes for his hair to be blow dried.

Cousin Ryleigh

Cousin Ryleigh came to visit Charley, but she wasn't sure what to think about him. She was so sweet trying to brush his hair and give him hugs. It is going to be so much fun having them grow up together. I am sure Ryleigh will keep the boys (Charley and Conner) in place.

Back to the Doctor

Because of the Jaundice Charley had to go back to the doctor to have his foot pricked for 3 days after we came home from the hospital. It broke my heart to hear him cry when they pricked his little foot. I had to really hold back the tears the first time he began to cry.

Jaundice

Charley was a little Jaundice when he came home so we sat him in front of the window. It was cloudy and the sun only peeked out for a couple of minutes, but it was worth a try. We were all tired from spending the last four days in the hospital so Charley and his daddy napped after eating, they are so cute!!

First Bath

Charley's first bath. This bath was just with a wash cloth because his belly button had not come off yet. He didn't know what to think of it at first and then he started crying:) He liked having his hair washed and dried, but that was all he liked.

1st Doctors visit

Charley had to go to the doctor just one day after coming home from the hospital. He had lost a little to much weight and was jaundice. He did wonderful even when they pricked his foot. He had gained weight but his billy rubin score was still up. He had to return to the doctors office for the next 2 days to monitor the billy rubin score. Thankfully he did not have to be put under the lights because on the third day his billy rubin (jaundice) began to come down.

Coming home

We got to come home on Sunday October 11, 2009. It felt so great to be able to go home after being in the hospital for 4 nights. David was especially happy that he did not have to sleep on the cot any longer.
