On February 10th I took Charley to the doctor because he had been coughing and it was getting worse. We got to the doctor at 3:30 and he wasn't running fever, but his breathing was labored and he was weasing and raddling in his chest. By 4:00 his fever went up t0 102. He had a double ear infection and bronchitis. The doctor gave him a rosephin shot and a very strong antibiotic and sent us home. I took off work the next day to stay home with him and he did not get any better or worse. Friday morning school was called off because of snow and Charley had gotten worse over night so I took him back to the doctor. This time the doctor told us he had developed bronchilitus and his breathing was so rapid that he may have to be hospitalized. They gave him two albuteral breathing treatments before his breathing slowed down (from 83 breaths per minute to 45 breaths per minute). We went home with an inhaler and continued antibiotics. That night we had to go to the ER because his breathing got bad again. A respiratory therapist came in and sucked everything out of his nose and throat. The doctor sent us home with continued breathing treatments. By Monday Charley was much better and he went back to Dawn's house on Tuesday. This was his second double ear infection so we will be seeing and ENT soon. He has been healthy since this episode of sickness, just a little cough her and there :)
